About

Over a 15-year career in the music business I have performed many roles from manager, booking agent, publicist, business manager, venue owner / manager, talent buyer, and promoter to production manager, tour manager, stage hand, and backline tech. I am self/experience taught and have remained on the side of industry independents throughout my career.

In my role as artist manager, I focus simultaneously on career development / execution of vision and business infrastructure / sustainability. My goal is to help artists with the difficult balance of creating while maintaining a working business model without compromising the strength and integrity of their vision and voice. This is done through careful consideration of revenue streams, both current and future possibilities, and a disciplined approach to controlling costs and investing back into the business in a way that promotes growth. All of this is helped along the way by a large national network of trusted music business professionals in all facets of the industry – booking agents, record labels, publicists, producers, engineers, venues / promoters, festival organizers and most importantly other artists and creators.

My hands on venue management, tour management, and production experience have given me a deeply rooted understanding of how things actually work so that I am able to effectively troubleshoot and recalibrate when complications and challenges are faced in actual practice. I have taken many ideas from the planning and theory stages to execution and understand the importance of being able to adapt and rework as unforeseen obstacles and opportunities arise.

I currently reside in Brooklyn, NY and am one of the hosts of a monthly conversation through The Sound Mind Collective with independent artists, music business professionals, and community service organizations during which we pinpoint the various challenges faced on a day-to-day basis in our endeavors and work together towards creative solutions. We are in the planning phase of several workshops where we hope to provide artists and entrepreneurs with the skills and insight needed to navigate the sometimes impossible seem endeavor of pursuing an independent career based on values that don’t always align with industry standard.
